I see no mention of the role of big money in our political system. - No party can currently get its message across without spending 10’s of millions. Until the power of big money is removed from politics we live in a plutocracy, not a democracy - it’s as simple as that.

You may be interested to know that Open Britain and our partners in Fair Vote UK are in the late stages of establishing an All-Party Parliamentary Group for Fair Elections which will target three of the key barriers to a functioning democracy: the unfairness of the FPTP voting system, disinformation in the media (incl social media) and the influence of dark money on our politics. I will be saying more about that on Ugly Politix next week. 👍🏻
