Deliberate self serving lies, the actual liars, and their supporters are a serious threat to our democracy and our existence. The spread and development of AI will assist these disgusting self serving liars as it will make their lies harder to recognise. The only solution is to make deliberate self serving lying and support of lies a criminal offence in all aspects of our lives like perjury in a court. The punishments must be large to deter these greedy lying billionaires, who fund and promote the lies. In addition to imprisonment there should be huge fines on the net worth of these individuals, lets say 80% of their net worth for each lie.

It strikes me as odd that the content of this article, which was in the public domain for quite some time now, doesn’t push more people into questioning what is happening. If people accept mendacious creeps as the ones to lead the nation, with the experience of what happened with the NHS and during Brexit, Covid, Post Office and the drinking water fiasco that they caused, one might by now begin to question the common sense of a lot of the people in this country.

The Farridge bandwagon must be derailed, before it's too late to stop it.

This appears to be a clinically objective & accurate article about Reform. Thank you.

Frustratingly, those who wold benefit most from reading it - heads in the sand Farage supporters -wold or will refuse to take notice, even if they read it.

The play here is obvious:

1. Replace universal human rights with a bill of rights for British people only.

2. Redefine what being British is to remove rights from specific groups (Reform have already started to do this with thier 'not necessarily British' rhetoric).

As has been observed countless times, human rights only work if they apply to everyone.

"Reform is an attention business. It exists to produce outrage, convert that outrage into media visibility, and monetise that visibility into political relevance. This is not a criticism. It is a description. The party’s entire value proposition — to voters, to donors, to Nigel Farage personally — is that it generates more attention per pound spent than any competitor in British politics."

These are very frightening prospects. As with other autocrats or oligarchies they want to push us back for some centuries, when few men were in charge and controlled domestic and world affairs. Europe has had a long history of only a few being in charge and playing around with plebs. It gave us long and bloody wars and enabled colonialism. As of today, the UK does not have a modern constitution, we only have the Magna Carta, which brings us back to when aristocracy ruled the country. We are all waiting what indication Scottish elections give us in May.

Thanks once again, Mark.

It has just occurred to me that Farage must be an acronym for his anti-democratic agenda:

F*** ALL RAGE

The real April Fools' joke is the idea that Reform UK is a political party. It’s actually a private limited company where the leader is a Cameo actor for neo-Nazis, the treasurer is in the Epstein files, the candidates are recycled extremists, and the funding comes from North Korean-adjacent crypto-wallets. They aren't trying to 'Reform' Britain; they’re trying to strip-mine it.
